Jade Garafola

Junior Front-end Developer

I'm transitioning from a career in community services, where I worked as a case manager helping people navigate complex systems and support networks. That experience sharpened my problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills—strengths I now bring to front-end development.

My move into tech was driven by curiosity, creativity, and a desire for change, sparked in part by relocating from Australia to the United States. I've completed the SheCodes Front-End Developer course, participated in Codédex hackathons, and continue to grow my skills through real-world projects.

So far, I’ve built sites for small businesses using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, React, Git, and APIs. While I’ve learned a lot on my own, I’m eager to work with experienced devs and gain more hands-on experience with team-based development.

I'm a self-starter and community-minded problem solver who enjoys figuring things out and making ideas work. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I’m excited to keep learning, building, and contributing.
